DigiCraftIntroduction

DigiCraft is an educational programme which aims to teach kids between 6 and 12 years old in the digital competences which will allow them to make the most of their potential. The programme covers different areas, all solidly based on, the DigiCraft methodology.

DigiCraft In-Class

Thanks to Public Administration, third sector organisations and other entities, DigiCraft is available as face-to-face classes for young children at school.

DigiCraft is presented in-class through training plans that use various emerging technologies as a learning tool: augmented reality, artificial intelligence, videogames, robotics etc.

Each plan consists of a series of activities that combine the virtual world with the physical one while sharing a common element: the "surprise factor", which astonishes pupils and naturally encourages their interest in the digital world.

Have they ever designed their own video game? Have they taken part in a virtual Escape Room? Have they considered how Artificial Intelligence works? Or perhaps, have they held a 3D Avatar in their own hands?

Vodafone Foundation provides DigiCraft in-class participants with the pedagogical content to use each school year and the technological materials needed to carry out the activities in class.

In addition, this guarantees specialist training for the educators, from the various entities, who provide the recommended training. As for DigiCraft in-class, teachers play a fundamental role as facilitators and partners, just like magicians and tour guides in learning about and developing digital skills in the classroom.

DigiCraft and Public Administration

In order to participate meaningfully in the digital society, all children need to develop competences that will help them deal with the challenges and make the most of the opportunities that the digital transformation has created.

With the aim of contributing to the development of children's digital skills, Vodafone Foundation has partnered with public administration to introduce DigiCraft into schools.

We are now collaborating with the autonomous communities indicated below, but DigiCraft is still growing and creating new partnerships!

What can I do to be a DigiCraft Centre?

To be able to implement the In-class programme in school and receive the training, technological materials and DigiCraft content, your centre must apply through the public calls announced through the usual Public Administration channels in each autonomous community and through the Vodafone Foundation social media. Don't miss out!

DigiCraft and vulnerable children

In today's digital era, technology is a tool that can revolutionise their lives, helping them to develop their potential, to integrate or to find help and examples. However, we still have a long way to go for these opportunities to be equally enjoyed by all children.

Therefore, Foundation Vodafone has joined forces with third sector entities in the fight against the digital divide in our society, setting up DigiCraft in educational support classrooms which these organisations have distributed throughout the whole country.

DigiCraft anywhere

Vodafone Foundation supports universal education, so DigiCraft is offering the world a collection of free-access activities which, following the programme's methodological principles, encourage digital competence in young children. The proposal sets out fun educational resources for anyone involved in educating children thus achieving an integrated focus.

In a digital society that is constantly changing, DigiCraft was created to help boys and girls to adapt to change, to show them the possibilities that the digital world offers, to surprise and inspire them, but above all, to let them know that they can be the creators of a different tomorrow.
